St. Ambrose Catholic School

Bio: Mrs Joanne Yates

April 2006

Mrs. Yates has very definite likes and dislikes. She is passionate about poetry - her favorite poet is Robert Frost, and her favorite poem is "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening." She loves literature (the classics). She gets giddy over good grammar (diagramming sentences should be an Olympic event). She isn't too fond of yard work (spiders and bees and worms, oh my).

Mrs. Yates is a mom of three terrific sons and a remarkable daughter, a wife (married 27 years), a teacher of many wonderful students from whom she learned so much, and now a principal at Saint Ambrose Catholic School. She feels very blessed to have had so many opportunities in her life and to have the love and support of family and friends./p>

Mrs. Yates thinks the students at Saint Ambrose are the best. They are interesting, fun, and very mannerly. Their cheerful greetings make her day start with a big smile. She believes that teaching in a Catholic school is so very special because it affords the opportunity every day to worship, witness, and serve.
